Fire Stopping & Air Sealing
Fire Stopping
Fire stopping is a core part of our passive fire protection services, ensuring the integrity of fire-rated walls and floors is maintained throughout a building.
We install tested and certified fire stopping systems to seal service penetrations, joints, and voids, preventing the spread of fire and smoke between compartments. Our team also carries out air sealing works, closing gaps around fire-rated elements to maintain compartmentation and improve overall building airtightness.
Early engagement is central to our approach. We work closely with designers, contractors, and consultants from the early stages of a project to develop compliant and practical fire stopping solutions. This proactive involvement helps reduce project risk, minimise remedial work, and support a smoother construction process.
All works are completed by trained operatives in line with project specifications, manufacturer requirements, and industry standards, ensuring reliable protection from construction through to occupation.

Air Sealing
Similar to firestopping, acoustic sealing is required where sound can penetrate from one building compartment to another. Increasingly important in schools, hospitals, offices and dwellings where noise transfer is a nuisance. Dense insulating products are installed to limit the travel of sound where compartments are breached. Typically these areas include service penetrations through walls, floors and perimeter edge details.
Spiralling energy costs and environmental focuses including BREAM have driven the need for modern buildings to be effectively sealed to prevent the escape of air and, more importantly, heat.
The perimeter of the structure where the different construction elements meet is the most likely are for leaks. It is vital that these areas are sealed effectively as air test requirements are becoming more onerous.
